Solubilization properties of reddish growths and genuine blood. (A). Non-consecrated wafers were placed in water for 7 days. Despite the appearance of reddish growths on portions of the wafer, the water remained untainted. (B). Blood was added to non-consecrated wafers and allowed to dry overnight; samples were then placed in water and examined 72 hours later.
